Description
The first five trades, and the MTL+TBL trades are made now. Minor pieces can be added to any trade to make them work. The biggest question mark is TJ. He has a full NTC, so Tampa acquire a fourth liner and a second in exchange for Callahan, and an agreement to put TJ on the waivers if he doesn't waive his NTC and Carolina is in last place in the standings. The idea of playing for a rebuilding team is enough for TJ to waive his NTC. Carolina should be on the bottom of the league though, as the trades deplete their already poor scoring, and destroy their goaltending. Plus, Crawford and Quick should recover enough to bring Chicago and LA off the bottom of the league.

Any team can claim TJ. That's not how waivers work.

If Tampa waived Johnson, do you really think he'd make it all the way through to Carolina? I mean, I'm not 100% sure of the rules on the NHL waiver order, but I'm assuming that it has a lot to do with your teams position in the standings. And, if that's the case, I'm also assuming that one of NJ, Philly, Ottawa, Florida, LA, Chicago, St Louis, or Arizona (Depending on their current cap space) jumps out and grabs him.

All 31 team get a chance to claim a player. Then the player goes to the team with the worst record. So at this point he would likely be going to LA or Chicago who are the lowest in the standings.

Teams lowest in the standings get priority.
So if the 31st and 29th teams both claim a player, he goes to the 31st team
