His NMC runs out at the end if this year and becomes a modified NTC. They can expose him to the expansion draft without the NMC in place but his contract runs out before the expansion draft anyway. He needs to go sooner.

I hope we stop this nonsense that ALL teams are going be able to dump bad contracts on Seattle. Didn't happen with Vegas, and certainly Seattle doesn't want to have a poor team with a cap hit of 150m

It’s set for June of 2021. Seattle begins play 21-22 season.

Originally they wanted 20-21 start date but arena won’t be complete and threat of work stopage threatening start of 20-21 season pushed them back a year.

Vegas did take quite a few bad contracts from the Jets and others. Also even if Seattle takes him, its a one year deal and its not that bad, with vet. leadership. Honestly, I think Seattle will take him for also a 3rd and 2 4ths
