GMGM have the plan to drop Pirri, one last time, to enjoy his AHL All-Star game festivities and make plenty of space for him in the NHL when he comes back. Clearing out surplus players like Hunt, Lindberg, Carpenter plus picks for two highly skilled players that help the team make the push into the playoffs. Pirri-Eakin-Dzingel gives the team three strong scoring lines and possibly the deadliest third line in the league? Faulk gives us the great “big-name” defensemen we’ve needed for a while, while also giving Shea a deadly partner on the power-play. Or Pirri was sent down because he didn’t have to clear waivers when Pacioretty was activated and plays the role he took over.
