I like all your trades except the Reider one. Burakovsky at 3M is way too much and you need to offer at least the same to qualify him next year.

Production wise, they are pretty similar players. Given Bura’s higher cap, I don’t think adding a 2nd is necessary. A 3rd rounder and its a deal. But I think the chance to reunite him with McDavid is pretty enticing.

All of these are lower cost than the top guys (Stone, Duchene etc), but is always look at things in the future. There is absolutely zero chance the Oilers are contenders this year, even if they manage to squeak into the playoffs. So is it worth giving up some pretty decent picks of the next couple years just to have 30 games from them. I think you need to be confident you can resign them to somewhat reasonable deals, especially since the oilers are in cap hell already
