If they want to do it should we give NYI Claesson and a 7th this year for a 2020 4th and John Stevens? (Not LA's coach, a prospect named John Stevens.)

NSH wants Wolainen, Ahl, Chlapik, and a 4th for Lehner 50% retained. This is too high for us IMO, and we should also even out the cap.

Should we try not asking for a 4th back with the other deal we suggested? Maybe Chlapik+Condon+Jaros?

He played his first NHL game yesterday and he looked really good, although it was only one game he also had a pretty solid season at Uni so probably higher than Jaros.

No, John Stevens doesnt have any value, so its basically Claesson and a 7th for a 4th. If we cant get a good deal for Claesson then I recommend just keeping him, his on-ice value is greater than his trade value it seems.

We got asked about his price, i said we'd want picks ... what should we ask for then?

@HoffmanisKing if we can get a 3rd and a 5th for Smith 1.25M retained should we do it? We have some C prospects and some of our guys could be moved to the wing. Smith's a good player, but i'm not sure if he's part of our plans for next season.

Oduya's a UFA after this season ... if we can get a 6th for him should we do it? Philly doesn't want to give up a 5th, not sure if they want to do a 6th or not.

I think Batherson straight up for Fischer would be a good deal to tell the truth. Batherson is a centre and we have quite a few centre prospects. Also, look at Fischer's stats in the OHL when he played there one year. IMO if they'd do it we should do it.

I've asked Philly about Nate Thompson for Scott Laughton. What's your opinion on this?

Yeah I agree that it’s fair value right now cuz Batherson is still a prospect and Fischer has been really good on a bad team in his rookie season. It’s just a lot of scouts say that Batherson is like Mark Stone but at centre and could be a really good #1 C in the future but if we’re trying to compete next year then it’s a good trade, you can do it I don’t mind.

They might want us to add a pick too, i think it depends what pick.

Well he’s only played one nhl game so his value rn is probably like a 2nd round pick I think we should atleast give it until the end of the season to see how he performs tho.

@HoffmanisKing Philly wants us to make our best offer for Scott Laughton. I don't think we should overpay, we should probably offer his value. What do you think is a far offer (without overpaying) for Laughton? Could you suggest two? One with Thompson and one with something else instead?

Thompson and Laughton are basically the same it’s just Laughton is younger, so:

Thompson + 4th

Or

Shane Eiserman + 5th + 7th

I don’t know anything about Laughton but u can decide if these are fair, might be bit of an overpayment I’m not sure.
