Description
Now that yesterday's vent session is out of the way.
Let's see if using players where they are supposed to be used, turns out something?
I think it will.

If we have nothing else to lose at this point AND our GM and Coach believe the answer lies within - then its time to give Galchenyuk the freedom. He and Gallagher have always seem to perform well and Drouin is just going to make that line a whole lot more lethal playing his natural position.

The second line sees everyone again where there suppose to be Patches LW, Danualt C, and young skill in Sherback RW.

3rd, gives Lekhonen less pressure and playing with Pleks make it more reliable line and add in Byron who is going to add energy and scoring when paired with Lekhs.

4th line has Carr LW (he deserves it and can be moved up and down the line up) - HUDON at CENTER - this is where he played a regular shift last year in the AHL and thrived - and SHAW to keep the line and opposition in check for the rookies.

Defense - Jerabek needs more minutes and a stable partner in Weber - I think he'll shine in that role given the opportunity and what he showed this season in the AHL - but he needs the minutes.

the 2nd and 3rd pairings are pretty self explanatory with Morrow as the extra.

PP2 - while it may come as a shock and as I mentioned earlier - Hudon (just like Galchenyuk) needs to play center - he's a playmaker and has thrived in that position.

What do we have to lose to try something like this?

Yup. I'd put Shaw at center though since he is a capable center if needed. Also not 100% sure Scherbak is ready for those minutes yet. I'd rather give him time with Shaw and Carr on the 4th line first. Hudon has earned that spot ahead of Nik.

I don't know about Hudon yet, yes he's looked good but the excuse of "bad luck, bad bounces" can only go so far.....
he has yet to earn any sort of promotion in my books - but maybe playing with more skill might be just the trick.
My plan was to keep everyone playing in their natural positions and while Hudon has certainly played LW - if I'm not mistaken, majority of his offensive number came when he played C in St. Johns (I believe Terry was his LW) and I also think he had the C position his first AHL year in Hamilton and his last couple of years in the Q (I could be wrong). But the plan still remains to have him learn C on the fourth line with capable wingers (Shaw is a natural RW and Carr natural LW) - this line could easily eat up over 10 min/game and add offense. This will also be a primer for him to move into the 3rd C position come next year.
With Sherback - again the point is keeping everyone in their natural positions - he's definitely a RW and has never played any other position.
I think he'll surprise when he comes back from injury - right now he's on condition in Laval.

I think Scherbak need to be in a position like top 6 - top 9 to be able to display his talent. But I also agree for Hudon!

This is the lineup we deserve, but not the lineup Julien needs apparently......
