Not a bad look. I can see them giving $6m to JVR if they get Nylander on a 2-3 bridge...with the assumption they can give Nylander a bump once Marleau is off the books.

Love The Bridge Deal. But Wondering What Nylander Would Get After That. $7,000,000? $8,000,000?

Depending on how he plays, yes. But that's OK. Marleau will be off the books, and (hopefully) by then Nylander is more consistent and deserving of that kind of money.

I kinda think Nylander wants a bridge deal. He's not going to get the. $$$$$ now, so he might just want to wait for to sign long term when he's better. Of course after a two year bridge, he could go to arbitration for two years and be a UFA in four years after this season.
Grundstrom's a winger, who might be Marlie bound after having a knee injury this seasons. The trouble with signing JVR long term (even if you think he's worth it), it might affect the cap when ELCs get their new contracts.
Not in 2018/19 but in future years.
