If the Caps can afford to add a top ten center and a thirty goal scoring winger next summer, both in their twenties, at a cost of their second defensive pairing, a great backup goalie, and a plethora of above average bottom six forwards, they absolutely should do it. You've given up a ton of penalty killing, which will hurt in the regular season standings, but added even strength scoring and, if those defenders are ready to step in as average NHLers, improved overall puck possession.
