Islanders Trade Deadline- New Goalie and

Description
I think the solution to the Isles problems can be solved with the Hurricanes. Faulk is a very good player with a favorable contract, however, Carolina needs more scorers. They have 4 capable young defensemen under contract already and Jake Bean potentially joining them next year. Nelson finds a way to put 20 in the net every year(idk how) and Dal Colle is a winger with a great wrist shot (still concerns about his development which is a gamble for CAR). Also, I think cam has been better than Darling this year and if Carolina falls out of the race in mid january, i think he's a guy the isles could want. That said, I think picks are also in order and I think everything sent from Calgary evens out the value.

Nice trade. .. I think they would rather take halak though since they are a budget team and already have darling at 4.ish M$ avv.
From there, you only need a real solid 3C and moce Cizikas back to the 4th line. Plekanec would be great addition and is perfect in this role with little scoring and expiring contract.
Since you've healthy scratched Beauvillier, would you do Pleky (1/2 salary) for him?

Creative! Which is what the islanders need to be anout their goalie and defence issues if they want a legitimate shot at the cup. This is a good trade

Having lived in NC for about 10 years, I was thinking that that would come up in discussion. I thought of this trade with the short term in mind from the Goalie standpoint. Isles are waiting for Soderstrom to come over from Sweden next year, but need a viable goalie option this year.I like what I've seen from cam this year and (injuries pending) I think he will keep this up. Also, Halak is gone after this year, Cam signs a similar contract next year, and that will open up the $3 mil in cap space from trading greiss. Could be used to resign JT, Bailey, Pulock, etc. and possibly consider going after Sbisa or Gudbranson.
