there is also 0 way I would include Skjei in the deal.
The ideal trade for me would be Pavelski + Desharnais + Pick, you save 3.7M with this trade for a player that is a Top 3 instead of an elite Top 3 player

I'd like to get more for Doughty than what I acquired him for. Pesce replaces Doughty for the most part, but to make up the difference id need to fill out other holes in my roster. Which are essentially Top 6 holes and likely Goalie

Cant help on the goaltender front. Would something like Pesce+Lindholm work? Or something like Carter+?

likely want Pesce + Lindholm + pick

pick would likely need to be a 1st or 2nd

                        I could do
                        Pesce
                        Lindholm
                        2019 2nd.

I'm very interested in that deal. I can't make anything happen until Feb, but that deal is a pretty good one. Mind if I shop Doughty? Or Just wait to see if anything comes In?

Saad for Pavelski and ... I don't know who you have in the AHL under contract. Any 3rd string goalies? I have a few contract slots available if I can take on someone I'll get some use out of or will serve as insurance/playoff depth if you have some players available to consider?

I like Saad... fits my plan for what I'm doing. I have Marek Mazanec, Chris Nell, Brandon Halverson, and Alexander Georgiev (might need to double check this one) as 3rd string goalies... could I also send salary back in the form of Panik or Sheahan?

My main goal for Pavelski is a 1st + A Top prospect. So with Saad I may want a +

My main goal for Pavelski is a 1st + A Top prospect. So with Saad I may want a +

I was hoping you'd consider someone as a + since Saad still has his prime and is a good player to add to your core. Sticking Out Tongue
Saad for Pavelski and some depth. Guess I'll hang onto Saad, as I value him more than you do.

What about Nash retained? Did you have a price in mind?
Not even sure I'd be able to squeeze him in, but it can't hurt to ask.

I'd be willing to go 50% retain on Nash. I'd like a late 1st... The thing that really got me with Saad is that he only has 23 points compared to Pavelski's 34... Also the huge price tag that was paid to acquire him

No problem. Neither player is having a decent year. I expected Saad to have a career year returning to Chicago, but I didn't realize they were going to struggle like this.

Looks like I'm out on Nash as well. I don't have a 1st and I'm not sure where my 2nd will fall, but I don't think it will be top 3. It would have been tight cap wise anyway.

On to the next targets. Good luck. smile

I may circle back on Saad if you need a cheaper option

Don't really have a set price. You can always make an offer for him. Likely a mid to high pick

Had a chance to review everything and Pavelski still works if you're game Feb 1st. Let me know then. smile

What are you thinking? 1 for 1? 1 side needs to add?

1 for 1 is fine, but I'll let you add a 1 year AHLer to give you contract relief if you want. Doesn't matter who as long as their cap hit is fully buried and they are a free agent at the end of the season. I have the space and it will give you some wiggle room in other deals.

Yup. You can make it someone different if you change your mind Feb 1st too. I'm not even going to look at them beyond the salary and term lol.

Edit: basically it can be your worst AHLer. Don't worry about giving me someone useful.

I'd be open to starting McDonagh discussions again.

You're a little late to the party my friend... have him in a deal come February
You can always make me an offer though
