If "fair market is offered" and Trouba doesn't resign, it looks like arbitration is the way to settle pay dispute for the next two years. Jets still have NHL control over Trouba till summer of 2020

I believe Trouba's girlfriend is going to college here in Florida, So i can see him either signing with the Lightning or Panthers in 2020 doubt he has any interest in Philly what so ever.

And there you have it....... Larkinisking is officially a Trouba stalker. laugh

Dude, we need to have an intervention.

You do not have any insider knowledge on what Trouba wants or doesn't want to do. His GF going to college will not have a bearing on where he'll want to play! laugh

OK there is some possibility for Detroit, it makes sense and there has been some talk about it but him not wanting to go to Philly? Come now....... me too I spoke to Trouba's best friends GF's mother's cousin. he wants to sign in Montreal and will not under any circumstance sign anywhere else! awesome face

True, but if the guy truly doesn't want to re-sign you might as well get a much for him as you can. Trading him now makes it the most sense for the jets.

I would love to see McDonagh in a jets uniform, but hes two years away from free agency and there is no guarantee he'll re-sigh. Sanheim is a controllable asset on an ELC and can be allowed to develop on the bottom pairing. All of this is my opinion obviously

I think the Jets need/want to make the playoffs this year, and it's best with Trouba. Will agree with you, Trouba is likely to get traded but the summer looks like the best time. I just disagree that folks thinking unhappy players have to trade. Gee, every year each team would be trading 25 players. Once a young player signs an NHL contract, he knows he's under team control for seven years. Don't like the that CBA clause, stay in college or play in Europe.

Completely agree. This post if for next year, meaning the jets wouldn't trade Trouba until the summer and that would be after exhausting all efforts to re-sign him. I like Trouba and think he fits great along side Morrissey, but he's demanded to be dealt in the past and IMO only agreed to the short deal so he could play and bring up his value as a showcase for other teams. Regardless, the jets are in a good spot with a controllable high end asset
