Caps need to start hanging onto their picks but I might be temped if it moves Orpik out.

No way BUF does that deal. They could get more for Kane.

It looks pretty light for the kane package. We are expecting a first, a second tier prospect, and possibly a later pick. Maybe we dont get all of that but a late second and a couple unimpressive former third rounders doesnt move the needle.

The Kane package isn’t enough. Would have to think Kane would get Burakovsky and a 2nd or 1st with a 2nd tier prospect back but they would eat 50% of his cap hit. I would not give Arizona a first in the orpik trade. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd. I like where your head is at though.

You're adding epicycles. If the Caps trade enough to get Kane, and are willing to part with Orpik because no one is injured and they're over the salary cap, they can give Orpik to buffalo.
