That Philly trade is horrible. We'd never take it. Myers is a top defensive prospect, we're not giving him up to get rid of AMac and get an overpaid, old defensiveman.

If you are going to rebuild you should deal price as well. The assets youcould get back would help your rebuild and if you are trying to be bad for a few years who cares who your goalie is. Trade Price to someone for a package that includes a goalie prospect you can hope for in the future. Otherwise i like that deals and the idea for sure

Interesting. Lots of cap space, lots of draft picks. I do not see Gally as a #1 C. As oppose to many that want him gone, I do like him but see him as a 2nd line winger. Yes, he is streaky and sometimes disappears but he still has above average numbers from his draft class. He is first overall. Granted only 1 point ahead of the guy in 2nd with 76 more games played but he is far ahead of the rest. So I say keep him. I like Danault in 3rd line C. He can also play on 2nd line but some people have him in top spot, which he cannot maintain. Byron is greater than a 4th liner. Maybe 3rd line and spot duty on 2nd line. Will you top six D old up. I love Weber but he has a massive contract for many years and although still very useful, he will slow down in 3 to 4 years from now. Not bad overall.

MacDonald was in the minors for half the season last year and he’s not doing you guys any factor.... you get petry a solid top4 puck moving D can play on the PP and PK.... Myers is a great prospect but no nhl experience who knows what will happen... Samuel Morin was a first rounder and he’s not making you’re line up so it’s a chance plus a bad player on a bad contract vs a top 4D that could help you’re team

Thanks for the comment and I agree with you I don’t see Chucky as a first line C but with all that cap space and draft picks I believe that with time we will be able to draft/sign/acquire one

AMac is a serviceable defenseman, even if he isn't great. We have no reason to trade for Petry, though. We're not competitive enough to sell our highly rated prospects unless they're for an elite player back. IMO, I wouldn't give up Myers for Petry in a 1 for 1 right now. Plus, we have a ton of young guys we have to sign in the coming years, and Petry's contract won't let us do that. Provorov will be re-signed for around 6.5/7 mil a year, TK for about 3.5/4 mil. It just wouldn't make sense.

I guess that fair and it’s youre opinion I think that maybe this trade would happen if the flyers were in a better place in the standings. Don’t forget that the cap is going up by 5million next year and that filpulla is a free agent and if you don’t resign him you just got yourself 10million in cap space. That is IF the cap goes up to 80M
