Tolvanen, Eeli
3$925,000
Trades
1.
NSH
  1. Pacioretty, Max
Additional Details:
The price for Pacioretty is apparently a young goal scorer and a first-round draft pick. Tolvanen has been dominant in the KHL at only 19 and will probably make the transition to the NHL next year.
MTL
  1. Tolvanen, Eeli
  2. 2018 1st round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:
As good as Tolvanen could be a 35-40 right now at a contract at 4 million to good to pass up. The Predators have a roster that could win a cup this year and this move would add to that potential.
2.
NSH
  1. Hörnqvist, Patric
Additional Details:
Hörnqvist has played in Nashville before and knows the system already. He also played with Bonino in Pittsburgh so the familiarity is there.
PIT
  1. Järnkrok, Calle
  2. Smith, Craig
Additional Details:
Nashville has a lot of depth so giving up assets to land Hörnqvist would be smart. Both Smith and Järnkrok are 3rd line forwards who can play in the top six if needed which is what Pittsburgh needs. Järnkrok can also play center which means Guentzel could go back to the top line with Crosby.
3.
NSH
  1. Wideman, Chris
Additional Details:
NSH has the best blueline in the NHL so why not make it even better. Wideman is a top six offensive defensemen who can run a powerplay. He might be defensively weak but he would play with Emelin who can cover for his mistakes
OTT
  1. Åberg, Pontus
  2. 2019 4th round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
Aberg is a potential 3rd line forward but with all the depth in NSH he's been passed over and has not been able to get a chance.

If PIT doesn’t want to resign Hornqvist, deal. I love Jankrok. What’s Smith’s contract look like?

MTL would probably pass since our coach is trying to get rid of every Russian in our team this year. Also, the asking price is a young C and/or a top 2 LD + 1st round pick

Personally, I don't like any of these trades. Maybe I have rose-colored glasses on, but I really think Tolvanen can help us this year. Patches is a near-elite player in the right situation, but i think Tolvanen has that eventual potential if not more. Also, I think I remember Patches and PK not getting along very well in Montreal but maybe that was just a rumor. If true though, I would definitely not bring Patches in. I love Hornqvist, but with his age and contract situation, I wouldn't do the trade for Smith or Jarnkrok. Smith has been great with Kyle Turris and Jarnkrok is extremely underrated in my opinion. The last trade is interesting. I don't know much about Wideman, but looking at his career stats, I don't like this trade. I'm not as sold on Aberg as other Preds fans. The talent is there but he cant' seem to put it together. That said, NSH is loaded on the blueline and still has some good prospects, so I think if NSH were to trade Aberg, they should get a Forward back.

These trades would get us eliminated in the first round. None of this makes sense.
