I love all three of the Preds "B-team" D-men, but I think Allard has potential (plus, he's right handed which is why I picked him over Donovan). I like your comment on the third line! Jarnkrok could keep up with Grimaldi and Hartman better than Bones, and Bones has great chemistry with Sissons.

So your top RW is hurt NSH
As a Preds fan, I would say thank you very much for the trade sir! I think this would be great for NSH, but I would feel like NYR should ask for more (Perhaps Fabbro?). If New York would want to do this though, I would love this trade for the Preds provided that Zucc signed long term

DO NOT OVERPAY FOR RICK NASH
I love this! The only things I'd say is that it'll prolly cost a little more for Grabner like a 2nd instead of a 3rd. I would personally have Tolvanen on the second or third line because of his style and lack of size but that's just being picky. Solid post.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tonys_Pizza</b></div><div>Nyquist would require a 1st since he has term left. They would ask for Fabbro no doubt. If they could pull off Aberg and a first and either a B level prospect or a future 3rd I think the discussion should start. Problem is that DET would have to retain money which would up the cost.</div></div>
I've heard from Wings fans both here and elsewhere that they'd be happy with Aberg and a 2nd or our 2019 1st. If we can get Nyquist for that, I would do it in a heartbeat. Aberg hasn't panned out this year and a change in scenery would be good for him because he's just gonna get hurried here, especially with Tolvanen coming over if not this year then next. Also, I've seen nothing to think GMDP is that desperate in past trades. Sometimes insiders just stir the pot to create buzz. I think it's far more likely that no one is accepting the NYR offer and are trying to talk the price down to a reasonable level. Someone will cave and maybe take a bad deal, but that's usually not Poile.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FullSend</b></div><div>Cap does not work if Aberg’s little salary is sent for even a half retained Nash, there’s obviously more to this than just Aberg, 1st or the deal probably would have happened by now.</div></div>
Math would work if 2mil was retained. NSH has a prorated cap room of 9mil at deadline so essentially up to about 80mil. If that's what NYR would take I still don't know if it happens because I don't think Nash is worth a 1st and Aberg to us. He doesnt fit our style and and would play third line for 30 games and then leave. If Poile pays more than this, it's one of the few bad deals he's made imo. Even if he paid this exact amount, it might still be.

Woohoo a man with sense. I agree to stay away from Nash unless his cost is like a 2nd or Aberg and a 3rd. I would like to see what you would give up for Nyquist. Him on the the left side of the third line would be amazing. I love Hartsy but sometimes he looks a bit slow out there. Just my opinion tho. Fabbro and Tolvanen should be untouchable no matter what tho.

Why would Nashville trade Saros? He's the future... I think Aberg and a 1st is the most we'd offer and even then, idk if GMDP would do that.

I understand now that I see your point of view. I just think it would be mutually beneficial to Aberg and NSH. Aberg is hurried here and hasn't come together as hoped, so maybe a change would be good for him. Warty is our bet penalty killer and adds physicality. Plus, he's not slow as it is, so as a Preds fan, I'd rather trade Aberg than Watty.

What about a 3rd and Aberg? I feel like Aberg has more value to the Canucks and is in need of a change of scenery. Plus, I think Watson has a bigger role on the Preds than Aberg, but that's just my opinion.

THE REAL DEAL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dragonlocks</b></div><div>Right, I'm not saying to make a lateral move, but a team rich in RHD could give them the defenseman they need in exchange for... This way they wouldn't be losing him for nothing and they'd be gaining a piece that would help them in their playoff push. Don't know who you have in Milwaukee that's ready to go??? but that is their need right now from what I see...</div></div>
It's hard to tell with the D-men on the Ads. They're buried behind the best blue line in the NHL and NSH likes to move guys along slowly. If there was a guy there that could contribute now it would probably be Carrier. He's our second best D prospect behind Fabbro.

THE REAL DEAL

Like I said, "If true." Kypreos could just be stirring the pot, but who knows. Also this is what I'd give. I still believe Vegas is trying not to be a one year wonder and this would help that cause. They get future picks and potential roster players for Neal instead of nothing. I know they want a Cup like everyone else but I don't see them going All-In. If they want a player back for Neal to take his place then it would never happen. For example, why would the Preds give up Smith to get Neal? That's just made a lateral move or a slight improvement at best for a player who's leaving next year regardless. Besides, Vegas could sell him for picks and prospects then resign him next summer, then they get both.

As a NSH fan, I would find Nyguist to have more value because of his age and term. That's just me. I think Gaudreau may get removed looking at it again on this and my original post, but if this was the deal, I wouldn't be up in arms about it with how much depth NSH has and its prospect pool.

I know he has top 6 potential, but on our team, he's a third line winger. He's not passing Smith, Fiala, Arvy, or Forsberg. Carrier is our 2nd best D prospect. Him and a 2nd would be fair imo. I think the most GMDP would be willing to give would be Aberg, Carrier, and a 2nd or Aberg and a 1st.

You're not getting our 1st or 2nd best prospect for a 3rd line winger on our team. Maybe Carrier, but not Fabbro or Tolvanen. I think that's true for any team. Fabbro and Tolvanen are pretty much untouchable.

I don't think the NSH trade will ever happen, but I think it's close to fair value. The 5th rounder may be a bit excessive but that's not much. Maybe like Ellis and our 2019 first instead of the 2018 one. Either way, nice trades.

That NSH trade isn't close imo. I see what you're trying to say, but our 3 or 4th best prospect and a 1st is not fair value for us when we're getting a 7th defensemen and a 3rd line winger in terms of our team. I think a 2nd or our 2019 1st alone would be fair value, but not our 2018 first (a deeper draft) and our second best D-man prospect.

Idk about Wings fans, but, as a Preds fan, I would definitely say yes to this trade. I think the Wings are more like to move Nyquist because of Tatar's contract but I may be wrong. Idk if Wings fans think if this is fair value. I'd try to ask for like a 2nd, 4th, and Ejdsell, but that's just me. Nice trade idea tho and pretty close to fair value imo.

I think the NSH is really close. Idk if Pred's brass is willing to give up Fabbro though. That's the only thing about it. Would you be willing to swap out Fabbro for Carrier? NSH would definitely say yes to that, but idk if NYR would like that. Great trade idea overall and close to correct value. I just don't know if the NSH would be willing to say yes to that.

Dante Fabbro isn't crap last I checked. The 2nd rounder can be conditional with a chance at a first, but I think this is plenty fair. Fabbro is our 1st or 2nd best prospect and projects to be a stud.

He is, but you have to spend something to get something. I'm hoping if this happens, that NSH can make up for his loss by keeping the 2 1st round picks. NSH has gotten good late-round gems too.

Yeah, you may be right. Bonino was just added to clear cap space, so I'd still keep him there too. Aberg would be added if there's some sort of bidding war with another team in this fantasy land.
