Is Jusse Saros that bad that you're bringing in Pavelec? Honestly, you can get Nash for just a 1st and Pontus Auberg

Saros is Nashville's future in net, Nashville won't move him with Rinne less than a handful of years away from retirement.

Also why does NYR want Hartnell? At his age I'm sure he would be thrilled to stay with the Preds and have a chance to win a cup even if it means struggling to crack the lineup.

Why would Nashville trade Saros? He's the future... I think Aberg and a 1st is the most we'd offer and even then, idk if GMDP would do that.

Aberg* Anyways cap doesn’t work even when Nash is half retained with such little cap going back for Nash

Cap does not work if Aberg’s little salary is sent for even a half retained Nash, there’s obviously more to this than just Aberg, 1st or the deal probably would have happened by now.

Math would work if 2mil was retained. NSH has a prorated cap room of 9mil at deadline so essentially up to about 80mil. If that's what NYR would take I still don't know if it happens because I don't think Nash is worth a 1st and Aberg to us. He doesnt fit our style and and would play third line for 30 games and then leave. If Poile pays more than this, it's one of the few bad deals he's made imo. Even if he paid this exact amount, it might still be.
