As a flames fan I really like the idea of adding Hartman, but I would want Forsling back in the deal to replace brodie on our L side. What are your thoughts on that? I like Hartman he would be a great addition to our right side just the kind of player that Brad and this team likes. With him and Tkachuk we will really not be like around the league lol.

That's too much for the hawks to give up in my opinion. I still don't know if I even think Brodie will fit the hawks have a few OFD as is and are probably looking to add a DFD. I'm kinda just bored and figure out values and such. Thanks for the input though!

I think you'd move the 1st to a 2nd rounder to offset that value, but it would make sense value wise for a guy that can eat up 23-25 minutes a night. Cheers bro

Maybe not a trade I'd make right now as a Flames fan, but definitely would be open to it at the draft. Flames starting to turn it on now and I don't think they could overcome the lost of one of their beter defenders mid-season. Also doesn't send a good message.

May I ask why you wouldn't consider it now? Hartman has 20pts in 39 games and plays a physical edge also young.

If the deal was something like Forsling+Hartman+something would you be interested? Forsling would be a guy that could fill Brodies void.

Very nice deal in my opinion.

Brodie is a very good defenceman. He plays a ton of minutes and is a key reason why CGY has the best 3 on 3 record.

Hartman fills an organizational need and a 1st rounder is huge for CGY who is strapped for picks

I do like Hartman and the prospect of getting a 1st back, but the Flames having been playing better lately so I wouldn't want them trading one of their better defencemen on a cheap contract unless they fall way out of the playoff race. Can't see the coach saying "Guys we're playing great but we also just traded one of our best defencemen. HIt me up in Mid-February if things have changed though.

i wouldn't mind the hawks giving up that for brodie. It would fill the hawks need for top 4 D moving forward and he is also still relatively young.
