Why would the Habs want a pending UFA that they won’t want to re-sign and a bum prospect that will never make it to the nhl for a solid winger? I mean I don’t think Bergevin would be that bad lol. And you would probably have to add at least a 2nd to that deal to get Coyle.

i think that be in the pens best interest to add that 2nd for coyle. as far as the habs go they may want to resign cole. personally i think he a descent reliable blueliner hes a good number 5 that can be a number 4 for short stretches. adding dea is just a throw in basically.

The Habs have a lot of money invested in their defense already with Weber, Alzner, Petry and Schlemko. They have Victore Mete earning more and more ice time. They don't want to spend another 3-4mil on resigning Cole.
