Why would Buffalo do that? They're not a goalie away from contending and that contract is madness for a goalie, even if he is the best in the game today.

I'm 50/50 on the Max deal, which is a late first-rounder (Yamamoto) and a potential lottery pick. That I am torn would suggest it's a pretty fair deal, I suspect.

I like Zucker but a hard pass on trading Chucky for him.

The Buffalo deal is likely moot because he is unlikely to waive his NTC to go there. Is it fair value? Nylander appears to be emerging and he was on the young end of his draft year, and a lottery pick is always nice. McCabe is good, but Lehner is a stop gap at best. This would seem a quick rebuild, so I would try to figure out how to get Reinhart into the deal

So, you're saying the Habs are having a tough season, and so everyone is fired.
