As a Hawks Fan, I'd begrudgingly do this trade. Forsling just needs a little more time to develop and then he'll an 82 game 2nd pair Dman...optimistic ceiling as top pair Dman. And I'd do this trade because PIT could say the same about Fgus and you need to give pieces to get pieces.

***EDIT*** Keep in mind that Forsling/Rutta have been the most used 2nd pairing for CHI this year...so it's not like he's NOT a 2nd pair Dman already. He's just still learning that position.

I agree that Forsling will be a solid Dman, but the Hawks have two up and coming studs in Mitchell and Jokiharju, and they don't have any good goalie prospects. This also gives the Hawks another 1st round pick in a really deep draft.

I think Anisimov to the Penguins makes sense, but I'm not even remotely comfortable with the idea of losing both Kempny and Forsling.

We have Keith/Oesterle/Murphy/Seabrook/Rutta - I have no desire to rely on E. Gus until Jokiharju or Mitchell are ready for the show.

I'd honestly prefer Anisimov + Kempny for F. Gus, 2018 2nd, and 2019 3rd, and then move E. Gus for a 6th or a rental backup goalie.

Big no from PIT. We can use those assets wiser.

What if we took out the 1st all together and swapped Forsling for Kempny? I like that idea. Heck, we could swap spare parts if you wanted to get rid of Reaves, but that's a minor piece.
