Hard pass. Kerfoot has established himself as a solid piece of the Avs fwd group going fwd. Sprong hasnt shown that he can hang in the NHL yet, Avs wouldnt take the risk of getting the worse or bust player just to gain a 2nd round pick

I agree, also Sprong is going to be great soon. We need to let him develop in the AHL and he will be a scoring machine

It wasnt meant to be a shot at him, I think he is going ot be a good player too.
But rebuilding teams in the Avs are not moving 23 and younger guys who are working and excelling for them. There is no real benefit for them here, just more risk.

I know Pens are really trying to gain that young 3C but if they want a guy like Kerfoot they are going to have to really over spend, you have to buy him away from the Avs, not fair trade for him based on how good and important he is to the Avs going fwd.

i didnt take it as a shot. i do understand that kerfoot is playing well for them. just the avs might be better suited for sprong to develop as pens are in the win now mode an kerfoot would help now. i agree that pens definitely would have to buy him away from avs. maybe sprong + fist would get this done.

To be honest, Kerfoot is now on the untouchable list of avs young guys. MacK, Rants, Zads, Girard, Compher, Jost, Kerfoot, thats a collection of 23 and young players who are making up the future Avs. They are not touching that bunch and letting them grow together.

I like Sprong, but why would Avs want to mess with what they have. a late round 1st and a guy who needs to develop further really doesnt help solidify anything for them to take the next jump, just prolongs the process and potentially can bust in their face.

Pens fans probably should be patient for once and keep on to your prospects and go through the growing pains with them

If you want Kerfoot it's going to need to be a massive overpayment or else an exceptional young player (or possibly part of a package for one) in return. The risk/reward factor here is too great.
