They showed last year they could win a cup without letang, and he's been **** this year. They need a 3rd line center, and adding on JVR wouldn't hurt.

I understand you are new here, but please here my explanation out:

Letang is a #1RHD(which never come available) who is signed for multiple years. 7.25m is his cap hit and he is worth every penny of that if he’s playing his best. He’s been his normally self the last 10 or so games. Trading Letang isn’t frowned apon, but trading him for a package of two UFA’s is frowned apon. Trading Letang requires a very good center and puck moving RHD coming back. What happens after this year when JVR and Bozak don’t resign with PIT and our top 4 is pure ****? The argument of “we won without him” is the biggest joke I’ve ever heard. You want to go through that **** playoff run again, but lose this time? We got lucky bounces last playoff run and nobody will disagree. Letang would’ve helped us drastically last year in the playoffs.

I understand the lucky bounces. Hey, I'm a caps fan. But nice argument, now I'd prob add carrick and rychel.

Try more like Zaitsev+Kadri+2nd for Letang.
