Like the Carlsson and maybe even the JVR signings, but why the rush to sign OEL. Keep you picks and players and sign another UFA, maybe even OEL the in 2019

Because if you don’t trade for him now, another team might swoop in and get him and sign. 2019’s D FAs are pretty much just OEL, Karlsson and Doughty. I would love Karlsson or Doughty but OEL is a lot cheaper. Plus I’d rather have him next year than wait a year when we could really use him now, even with signing Carlson, since I’m trading Severson. Not that Severson is any good

First off that package doesn't get you Ekman-Larsson period and no way is Ekman-Larsson signing for only $1 million more then what he's currently making no try more like $9 million to $10 million per.

So you think OEL will make $9-10M but are ok with Carlson making $6.5? I might agree that $6.5 isn’t enough. Seeing as Hedman just signed for just under $8M, I don’t see how those two can make more than that. The only way I can see them making more than that is if they take advantage of this and next year’s weak FA classes for D men and use Doughty and Karlsson as leverage

I was just doing the Ekman-Larsson deal no i agree Carlson is reportedly asking closer to $7.5 million to $8 million per as well, Ekman-Larsson bare minimal about $8 million as well $2.5 million raise as far as Hedman is concerned he took much less to stay in Tampa no state income tax plus be able to keep the core together so you honestly can't compare Hedman's situation to either Carlson's or Ekman-Larssons situation they're totally different situatins for each of them just because Hedman took less doesn't mean that Carlson, Ekman-Larsson, Doughty or E Karlsson should take less then him.

A OEL/JC duo would cost no less than $15M per and most likely more!

Ive been watching OEL for a while and I think I like Severson a lot more defensively than OEL. Most of the goals I see the other team score on the yotes its usually on OEL. I think Severson is actually progressing a lot and I just think OEL is great in offensive situation not necessarily defense. I think OEL is overrated. Give Severson a chance we just signed him to a huge deal.

I like Mirco as well. I think Galchenyuk is good i just think Severson is going to be a lot better than you might think. We need a defensive dman not offensive. Severson I see is more of a 2 way player which I like a lot.
