And his 4.9 mill cap hit isn't ideal for a 3C either.

Galchenyuk isn't strong enough defensively to play center. The Pens want a strong 3rd line center to have sid, geno and kessel on 3 seperate lines. This wouldn't allow that. Galchenyuk does need a change of scenery and would probably do better in a more open system but his value right now is very low which is why Montreal isn't trading him. They would probably take that though as it is a huge overpayment. Maatta has established himself this year.
