100% in favor of the Isles trade. I think all of these are reasonable, nicely done.

If we put pouliot in that trade then I definitely want their 2019 first instead of the second.

Very reasonable deals all around. I like that you did Kane for a top prospect and a 2nd, instead of a top prospect and a 1st. Much closer to what he'll actually go for IMO.

I think people are over hyping Kane. I think the Blues trade works for both teams.

When it comes down to it, there will be teams in a bidding war for kane which will push him over fair value. Hence the first rounder.

I honestly don't think there will be a big bidding war, the market is flooded with LW's so that'll bring down the price a bit. + We are talking about 2 players on expiring contracts

Not LWs like kane. Scoring rentals come at a big price. If we don't get more than what Hanzal fetched, then the sabres got duped.

Don’t like the 1st for Domi. Make it 2 2nds.

We are getting more than Hanzal got. Kyrou is a really good prospect.

The biggest add I could make while keeping it fair is that the 2019 2nd becomes a 2019 1st if Kane resigns, but that's about it

Gotta give to get. We probably will get a top 10 pick in 2019 so it would wind up being a 2020 1st which will be more like 15-20 overall.

Domi scored 52 points as a rookie on Arizona.

Hanzal was a massive overpayment (and later admittedly huge mistake) by Minnesota. He's also a centre which is automatically more valuable than a winger. Also, Hanzal at the time of trade has 16 goals, or the same amount that Kane has now, while playing on a horrid Coyotes team.

There was also a limited supply of high end rentals last year, which drove up the prices on everyone. This year, there's a pretty big surplus, along with a bunch of guys with term left like Pacioretty, Hoffman, Zuccarello, etc. If you can get Kyrou for Kane, take it and be happy.

I get that. I still don’t like the idea of not having a 1st and missing the playoffs. Give them 33OA this year before I give up next years

The Domi trade is highly beneficial to the Sabres in the way that it allows either Mittelstadt to be the 3C or Eichel's LW

Great post! Probably close to fair value on Domi, but I wonder how interested the 'Yotes are in draft picks though? I get that they're terrible, and have been for a while, and you would normally see a team trying to get picks, but they've got a ton of guys who are under 23, and with that top 10 protection on the 1st rounder, it's hard to imagine that player will help them any time soon. I'd guess that an ideal Domi trade would be a straight up 1 for 1 trade for a similar player who also needs a change of scenery.

Not trading a 1st for Domi

No interest in taking on Greiss’s terrible contract; I’d take Halak

Too much for Domi, to trade a top 6 D and a pick that will be top 10 possibly in back to back years is too much for a guy producing around or less than 40 points

Why not take on Greiss? He could serve as Ullmark's backup for a season, then we can buy him out.

Also Domi is worth the price I paid for him

Domi hasn’t been good since he was a rookie, he’s worth a tad more than Duclair but not a 1st + roster player + prospect worthy.

Greiss has a awful contract and Dal Cole is nearly a bust, I’m not taking that on for a 2nd
