Islanders don't need goaltending. Halak .915 SV% as of late. We give up the most shots in the league. We need Dman and badly.

Haha, Sounds like you gotta look in the mirror to find the hater. There are posts like this all the time with Pre-Cap NHL, MLB Luxury (this probably least), and NBA. It's just seeing how things would work under different structures! It's all good. Just having fun on here.

Lmao fair enough. I just always see NHL fans complaining about the NBA.
You have to hand it to the NBA though, they generate year-long interest and have the most compelling story lines.
Players have the largest personalities and it makes for great entertainment.
Would love to see bigger personalities in the NHL.

For sure! The NBA does do a much better job at getting fans to identify with their stars. You're 100% correct. I'm Chicago based and they do a better job than most at doing this for Toews/Kane and even their lesser stars too, but I honestly don't think I've even seen a Stamkos commercial or Johnny hockey or E Karlsson or PK Subban. Some people blame the helmets, but there's nothing they can do about that. Some people just think it's just because you can pick up a basketball anywhere and play. Not quite the same as hockey.

I really like these trades, the Keith trade isn't bad at all. I would certainly consider Keith for Strålman, Raddysh & 2018 1st round pick.

Value wise it's spot on.... Obviously Tampa Bay gets the best player but I think it would be worth it for Raddysh and the pick... Raddysh & DeBrincat had excellent chemistry with the Erie Otters so it would be interesting to see if that could translate to the NHL and a 1st round pick - even if it's going to be a late round pick never hurts.

Of course Tampa Bay becomes a "super team" with Keith, and without losing NHL talent in the process. Keith would also be a long-term solution for Tampa Bay considering his contract and more than reasonable cap hit., so that wouldn't be a "rental" type situation. I mean Bowman has signed players to questionable contracts but Keith at 5.5 per forever is one of the better long-term contracts in the league. Keith is still a sure fire #1 defenseman.

So yea, I'm a huge Keith fan but if Bowman made that trade I wouldn't be upset at all.

The Saad for Domi & Demers trade is intriguing as well..
