Both declined. Plex isn’t worth the 2nd rounder they probably will get for him. Blues aren’t giving up that much.

vermette went for a 1st rd pick in 2015. plek could fetch a 2nd easily. teams want depth at center, and he brings that and is good in the dot, and can pk

The blues deal alright. I mean we are giving away a proven scorer for some unproven pieces except Fabbri. And thats what MB is asking for Max anyways. A top prospect, young NHL ready player, 1st and 2nd. If there is one thing I will change, it might be the 2nd rd pick. Make it a conditional pick. So if Blues get to WCF then Montreal gets their pick.

I don't think downgrading from a 2nd that can become a 1st to a nothing that becomes a 2nd makes sense. I'd budge on the 2nd just being a regular 2nd, but I don't think I'd risk dropping the pick all together.

And he was more productive at the time he was traded than Plex is at this point.

pleky is better defensively then him. im not saying pleks will fetch a 1st rd pick if traded, but a 2nd could be said.

Which is what i said they would get for him. Just said he’s not worth that. He’s a 4th liner. Giving up a second for 15-20 games....kinda steep. Playoff bound teams do crazy things tho.
