Leafs get Nash

Description
I don't think this will actually happen but I wanted to try and put together what I think it would take and get a look at how that lineup would look. Upon putting this together, I want to say that I have convinced myself to want Nash. Or at least the idea of what Nash could be.

I think the trade deserves some explanation as well. The real assets here IMO are sparks, Leivo, and the 1st. I personally think that is a high price for a rental. But I included a couple other peices to help justify paying a high price. Martin won't hurt the rangers rebuild, and he is easy to get rid of after next year. Leafs can even retain here if need be. Marincin is a player I feel still has some upside and could use a fresh start and new opportunity. The leafs moving on from them is a gain, but they are also peices of value for a rebuild. I think this makes it a win for both teams.

Nash would be a third line player with the Leafs down with Bozak and JVR. Would never take Nylander off Matthews RW again unless Marner was sliding in

This is the first time I would say the team giving Quantity and not Quality would say no... Nash is so overrated.

As Jordan89 kinda indicated, the one team that doesn't really need a winger at TDL are the Leafs. If the Leafs trade assets, centre is a more likely being returned. The Nylander at centre isn't happening now if ever.

I agree the wing is not an area the leafs need help, but there is very little available at C so adding a winger and moving nylander to 3/4C would give us 4 solid centers for the playoffs, let nylander thrive against weaker competition, and prepare him to be 3C next season. As Jordan89 mentioned it may not be the top line that Nash ends up on, but I've waited all year to see Marner with Kadri and really like them together. I'm not big on Brown there and would want the speed of Kap with nylander
