Description
Don't think on the short term so often. Jake Bean is a better prospect than Forsling and Murphy may turn out to be a cap liability. I year of Kruger is WAY worth it. I'm more surprised by Hawks fans saying no than CAR fans. I thought they'd be ripping me to shreds.

I like the offseason signings, I really hope Carlson does come to the hawks. I just don't get why the Hawks would want that trade. Bean looks like he would need time in the AHL where as Forsling now could play at least a top 6 role (despite being sent down). If the Hawks moved Murphy I feel it would just kill our depth on the right hand side and we would be in a hunt for a right handed shot all year. And to be honest I feel anisimovs value alone could make this trade get done. a young top 4 potential d man (who is still off a few years) and a cap dumb for Anisimov. Again i really like the idea of bringing in Carlson though.

I'm just really worried about Murphy's $4M cap it. He could be a middle/bottom pair dman, but so far he's getting scratched a bunch.

He is just the guy q is benching cause he doesn't want to bench Seabrook, I also think the Hawks are showcasing Kempny. I think he has been really good. Obviously he didn't start off well but he has turned around and become better, he should only get better as he continues playing. I guess I don't feel the need for the hawks to move young defensman just cause they have not worked out in a short stint. If anything all they need to do is sit on their hands, move anisimov for really a new younger center Galchenyuk? and if they can move Seabrook, which is gonna be nearly impossible.

Fair observation with Murphy I'd agree. As far as AA, I guess I want to make sure I shore up the defense. middle 6 wingers are a dime a dozen. Easiest thing to find in hockey these days. True Centermen are not and quality Dmen are not. I do like Forsling. I do think Bean's a really good prospect though. Yes, he's 19 so a little more maturity could help. But we rely on Keith a ton. It would be great to have another true top prospect.

I'm just worried about Rutta. Why would you pay $2M if he's going to be your 7th D? Only makes sense to keep him if Bean goes to Rockford for a year or so.

So yes if bean goes to rockford, but also if Seabrook...falls further... that's what I think rutta will get as a ufa.

No way would I give up Forsling, Anisimov and Murphy for Bean and Kruger... I like Kruger and I think the Hawks really miss him but not for that price.

Maybe Forsling, Anisimov & Murphy for Justin Faulk & Kruger..

Anisimov is one of the most underrated players in the NHL, as a matter of fact I was just reading a player poll a couple weeks ago where players said as much.

Either way Anisimov is criminally undervalued on these boards.

I really like AA too and I would agree that he's a great 2-way player. I hadn't seen that player poll and I'm very encouraged if that's the case. Maybe I'm getting too swayed by people on here that just focus on points rather than 2-way play. With that said, he was pretty clearly demoted to the #3C for a team that's currently in last place in the central. It truly sucks to type that! But I'm also trying remove any bias I may have.
