Hawks Next Year
I think Radko Gudas would hurt the hawks, he doesn't play their style and hawks don't need anymore gritty players. They never won on grit and they shouldn't start now. I think the value is there in a vacuum but Saad means more to the hawks then on other teams and Gudas means a lot more to Philly.

Run to the playoffs
I don't think the hawks are looking to add a defenseman, especially Radko Gudas. Gudas and Murphy are fairly similar players. and then with gudas having another year and a right hand shot is just going to take up a roster spot from one of the young guys. I think if they trade for a defensman it should be a left hand shot so they can better bury Gustafsson's lack of defense. Ultimate dream would be Ryan Murray, he can move the puck well, plays the Pk, plays 20 minutes a night, but that is not a guy I bet Columbus will move on from, sadly. I think if they are really going for the playoffs they are just going to bring jokiharju back up and then bank on Ian Mitchell coming in to the fold kind of like Charlie McAvoy did when he joined the Bruins. I also think they would do better adding someone to their bottom 6 that could also play top 6 minutes if the top 6 starts to slow down. I would say Derrick Brassard or Ryan Dzingel, maybe even Mats Zuccarello. they all play with speed, all 3 could play on the PP and brassard and Zuc can play on the PK.

realistic Panarin FA signing
I think after last season and based on the fact Forsberg is most likely going to be the 3rd goalie for the hawks, he won't get more than a million and if he is dead set on 3 million or higher the hawks will trade him. Meaning either way they will be under the cap.

Ian Mitchell is gonna be a stud, he started his Freshman year slow and by the end of the year he was University of Denver's best defenseman. I think the Hawks wanted to sign him this year too, he just wanted another year of school to bulk up before he played pro. I mean if hawks really wanted too i feel just Mitchells value alone and habs lack of right handed shot offensive defenseman they could do a one for one. But it seems like a bad idea for the hawks.

I think even Buffalo would be a little confused and really question why the hawks only want a 2nd round pick for Crow. He has more value then that, why even trade him?

Carolina Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Plus CAR doesn't need young D guys...they have plenty. Gus doesn't offer any real value there. AA and the #27 get you Faulk and a late round pick back likely. To add Skinner, you would need to give up Duclair and Hayden plus another pick (2nd or 3rd)...it's not worth it. Forget Skinner and just grab Faulk.
I would then keep Gus and move Murphy or Rutta for picks and if you move both, go get John Moore or De Haan.Edjsell is going to play LW on the 4th line...he plays much better in the AHL without center duties. I would grab Riley Nash to play center.</div></div>
They could but there is also a rumor that hawks have kicked tires on Faulk for NSH 1st already maybe that's all it takes.

Ya but what gets added or changed that would get both? , add Chad Krys who isn't NHL ready but has more upside and value, maybe add one of the two Russian Wingers the hawks have the right to. Just saying the value isn't there is not really constructive.

On Hawks end? Sikura or Ejdsell down and they would be fine, or even make a small trade, its only off by 13,000 not hard to adjust.

Probably, not as bad as in years past though, I would assume the cap would go up higher again next year, not as big a jump as this year is supposed to be. But I think long term they could be worse.

If the return was for a 30 year then ya no way hawks trade their Nsh pick. But getting a 21 year old center who very well could make an impact next year i think its worth then. More likely then not whoever hawks draft with the Nsh pick won't be ready for another 2 3 years.

CAR Trade...Please Vote
I like the idea of trading for Faulk, but i really don't like the idea of trading Murphy. Ya he didn't start very well but I think he has been much better and looks like he has only improved throughout the year. I also think another team is gonna offer more for Faulk anyway. But the 2nd line would be great and most of JVR's goals this year have been deflections or just outside the crease so him just playing how anismov did between kane and panarin would be great. And i think he would be able to help drive the play more. Really hope the hawks get him.

Ryan to CHI, EK to NYI
It's a weird idea but I thought of trading Bobby Ryan with a slight retention to the Hawks for Hossa. The retention would make it so the cap hits on each player is about the same, but Ottawa would only pay about 3 million in actual salary. which would be good for a team with an internal cap hit. maybe hawks add but that's one way of getting rid of the paying 7 million to a player and then hawks are using hossa's cap space

He is just the guy q is benching cause he doesn't want to bench Seabrook, I also think the Hawks are showcasing Kempny. I think he has been really good. Obviously he didn't start off well but he has turned around and become better, he should only get better as he continues playing. I guess I don't feel the need for the hawks to move young defensman just cause they have not worked out in a short stint. If anything all they need to do is sit on their hands, move anisimov for really a new younger center Galchenyuk? and if they can move Seabrook, which is gonna be nearly impossible.

I like the offseason signings, I really hope Carlson does come to the hawks. I just don't get why the Hawks would want that trade. Bean looks like he would need time in the AHL where as Forsling now could play at least a top 6 role (despite being sent down). If the Hawks moved Murphy I feel it would just kill our depth on the right hand side and we would be in a hunt for a right handed shot all year. And to be honest I feel anisimovs value alone could make this trade get done. a young top 4 potential d man (who is still off a few years) and a cap dumb for Anisimov. Again i really like the idea of bringing in Carlson though.

I figured that maybe he might just want to play in the NHL with a different team, this would get him to UFA status faster, and I don't think Detroit will budge on term length.
