Anisimov, Gustafsson, Noel, and the 27th pick get you Faulk and a mid-round pick. Anisimov, Gustafsson, Noel, and the 27th pick get you nowhere even close to Faulk AND Skinner.

Ya but what gets added or changed that would get both? , add Chad Krys who isn't NHL ready but has more upside and value, maybe add one of the two Russian Wingers the hawks have the right to. Just saying the value isn't there is not really constructive.

Plus CAR doesn't need young D guys...they have plenty. Gus doesn't offer any real value there. AA and the #27 get you Faulk and a late round pick back likely. To add Skinner, you would need to give up Duclair and Hayden plus another pick (2nd or 3rd)...it's not worth it. Forget Skinner and just grab Faulk.

I would then keep Gus and move Murphy or Rutta for picks and if you move both, go get John Moore or De Haan.Edjsell is going to play LW on the 4th line...he plays much better in the AHL without center duties. I would grab Riley Nash to play center.

Exactly my point. To get Skinner would not be worth it because they would need to move other pieces they need more. Anisimov and 27 for Faulk and a pick is fine. That addresses a legitimate need we have. Skinner, while that definitely addresses a need, would come at a very high price. I don't think the Hawks want to move any more 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round picks at this point. So that leaves you with trading players for Skinner. Carolina does not need any more young defensemen, as they already have an abundance as it is. What forwards do the Hawks have that they'd move to get Skinner? Hinostroza, Duclair, Hayden maybe. That said, I don't think even the three of them together get you Skinner.

That is the starting point. It would take more than 27 to get Faulk. Yes, I've seen those rumors/reports, but they also say the Hawks would likely need to add a mid-end piece. Anisimov is that and a bit more, so Carolina would need to add something small to even it out.
