...but a guy like Boeser doesn't get traded. You're throwing 5 good pieces out there but that's not how the league works... a Calder trophy candidate doesn't get traded. It doesn't help a team that needs a new franchise player. The team that gives up the best player in a trade like this always loses.

Yeah i get the proposal and it probably gets done on my playstation but not in the nhl. A team on the rebuild like Vancouver who will probably lose its 2 most recognizable players to europe ( i know the sedins are not what they use to be) next season cant part with potential home run players like this. He will be the new face of the franchise.

I tried the same idea with Barzal. It doesn't matter how good the players offered are, people just wouldn't accept it.
