Description
Move Bennett to RW. JVR has great Corsi and pots 20-30/year with limited ice time. Perfect fit on the 3rd line to give us 3 scoring lines. Is often injured the only downside. Versteeg can move up the lineup if needed.

JvR would barely make that here in TOR as a sweetheart deal and you think the flames will come in and scoop that? Sorry, but if you want JvR, hell probably cost you 6.5-7

The most the Flames should pay is 6-6.25M. Which is possible but thats an overpayment and probably not worth it long term.

Of course its an overpayment. Every player that has gone to Free Agency have been over payments. Look at David Clarkson, M. Grabovski, and others. Yikes. If you want to lure JvR to CGY, then 6x6.5-7 or else he goes NJD lol

I lke jvr he is a good teamate a good guy and plays hard. I think 5.5 × 5 is fair value.

I get it and if someone wants to pay more and probably will then I can live without him. No point in mortgaging the future for a UFA. We made that mistake with Brouwer for which I hated the signing as soon as I heard it. With Tkachuk and Ferland needing new deals we can't afford to overpay for a 29 year old.
