Team looks pretty decent, but I wouldn't have them bank on the fact that Bouchard will be NHL-ready next year. Though his game is solid in the OHL, I'd need to think the Hawks would want to take it slow with him or any top tier prospect and really develop them. Having Bouchard, for example, represent Canada at the World Juniors next year, would give him so much more additional experience playing against best-on-best. I actually think the Hawks would prefer Noah Dobson to Evan Bouchard.

I just used Bouchard because he is ranked 9th by Sportsnet, and if there was no lottery the Hawks would be picking 9th overall.

Ah well whomever they choose will likely not be ready for a full NHL season next year. Ironically, from what I've seen, the most NHL-ready draft prospect outside the top Swedes is Jared McIssac, but that is, of course, only my opinion. I would not put it past the Hawks to trade down in this draft in a situation where they gave up their lottery pick, if say it was 8 to 10, for the Islanders later 2 first rounders and maybe something else. With those mid to late rounders, the Hawks could find themselves a forward and defenseman for what I am calling Gen-2. Gen-1 was Toews/Kane/Keith :P

According to tankathon.com/nhl we're picking 7th.

Not terrible...But:

Bowman acquired Murphy because according to Bowman - he has "long-term cost certainty with potential", so I don't know if he would trade him so soon.

You have Hartman and Duclair's salaries backwards..

Also, at the rate the Hawks are playing they're going to have a lottery pick this summer and the player they take could certainly have a position on this team in the fall... Especially if it's Dahlin, Tkachuck or Svechnikov.
