Great deals for MTL.

they arent set in stone though
if you got tweeks to suggest go ahead.

each player landed on a team i thought they could win a cup with it wasnt about getting the most just getting what we need
(which is why i went with Glass over a Borgstrom,Vlardi or Thomas as im about tired of seeing those deals beat to death and VGK gives Patches the best chance at a cup)

Good stuff. except for maybe the Plekanecs trade. Maybe make the pick like a 3rd or 4th.

call it a conditional 4th , if WPG makes the finals it becomes a 2nd ?

Petan and a 2nd may be stretching Plecky's value a bit but Winnipeg wants to win a cup so I say that works.
Patchy for Glass and two 2nds sounds fair.
I feel like Granlund may not be a perfect fit in Montreal, Oscar Lindberg isn't quite the same value but he would be a better fit.

Granlunds just a band aid until Poehling is ready (ryan thinks 1 more year NCAA)
i am hoping that with Lehkonen we can boost his value enough to flip and with shaw helping him on faceoffs that is better odds .

Lindberg is a better call though just i think would cost more as Granlund is about to be pushed out of VAN soon according to my butcher (VAN fan )

i agree on plekky , how about a conditional 4th that says if WPG makes the finals with plekky playing 50% of the games it becomes a 2nd ?

Maybe a conditional 4th and 5th changing into a 2nd if they make the finals with him playing 50%.
Montreal should make a Lindberg deal at the draft in June, that way Vegas doesn't need depth at the moment. The trade wouldn't work at the deadline because the Golden Knights need Lindberg as a depth forward for a playoff run.

yeah that draft deal makes a lot of sense
even if all my deals went thru 100% as is i'd still want to sign him myself .
Froese is great and i actually do like him but having a Lindberg to run 4th DZF , top PK Center would really help with plekky leaving if we are being honest.
plus he's a guy who could in MTL be a 4th his first 10 games and be on top 6 by the end of the week as Danault is best suited as bulk faceoffs guy on third with shaw IMO
and we're still looking for a real #2 center behind Chucky/Drouin (which ever) to play with Hudon-Gallagher

I have heard that Glass may be in the NHL producing lots of points in the next three years, so maybe he fills that gap. If he does I think Montreal might start to pull it together. If all else fails Tavares is still a free agent.

i was thinking the same thing
plus who knows maybe we draft Tkchuck i guess he spent the year as Center
with Shaw mentoring him i suspect he'd make the jump to Center

That VGK trade is exactly what I want to see. The granlund trade could be a good reclamation project like Dale Weise was a few years ago: give an underperforming guy a fair shot, he takes it and plays solid hockey hockey and give the team vale for a few years.

that was exactly what i had in mind for Granlund
by low , build him up then when a Glass ,Petan,Poehling or someone steps up and takes his minutes flip him .

Petan i honestly put in the same category, he's small but so was Byron so i cant completly count him out but he's a Reclamation Project like you said about Granlund

i honestly wish tho MTL would pick up Glendening from DET for 4th line
i like froese as 13th forward but would prefer a full time center there

I really hate it when people think that the Habs will trade Shaw. He is a real help to their whole team and he can get them going when they're down 5 or 6-0. We also traded the picks that got Alex DeBrincat and Chad Krys to get Shaw, so we should probably keep him.
