Would take some work to pull Nichushkin and Shalunov out of Russia but they currently play together so bringing them together may work.

Probably on another team after he decides to go the Kevin Hayes/Jimmy Vesey route.

I'd rather have Carlson at 7 mil then Grean and De Haan at 9 mil, plus Jokiharju has a good chance of being ready for next year.

There is no way the Hawks buyout Seabrook..... Seabrook at 50% retained would bring in a boat load of assets with the same cap hit of a buyout. Also the Hawks would be carrying a cap it on Seabrook until 2029-30.... No way.

Seabrook at 3.435 would attract significant interest and would bring back lots of assets.

If the Hawks are going to blow a wad on a defenseman then they should sign Green to a 1 year deal and wait until next summer (2019) and go after Doughty or Karlsson... I like Carlson but obviously Doughty and Karlsson are better..

If you're going to sign a player to a long-term deal it may as well be the right player - not the player that's available or happens to be the best solution at that time.
