Pretty good for taking on Spezza's contract, but I still don't think Dallas parts with Heiskanen and all those picks.

Heiskanen isn't going anywhere. Spezza's contract is last thing rangers need right now. Staal and smith are enough deadweight.

The Heiskenen deal is worth it. No way Staal plays the rest of his contract with all his concussion woes. I think Smith turns it around with a different coach.

I don't think Troy Brouwer makes any sense for this team though. We're trying to get younger. If Zuc goes to Calgary, it's going to need to be 2 of Fox, Dube, Valimaki, Kylington coming back. High ceiling guys.
