So MTL is supposed to trade a player that has more goals in his first full 7 seasons than any Panther player in their history for a sub top 5 prospect?

I'm ok with the logic of not wanting to move Borgstrom. He's going to be a good player but lets not make Borgstrom out to be the next savior while downgrading Pacioretty to the level of chump either. The odds are Borgstrom even if he were to reach his max potential would still not put up the numbers Pacioretty has in his career. (While still being a good player in Panthers fans mind).

In all honesty I don't see Florida and Pacioretty as a fit either.

I understand that it would probably take Borgstrom to get him, IMO hes an untouchable. If MTL wont take anything less than Borgstrom then FLA should move on. I am not saying Pacioretty is bad or anything but FLA needs alot more than just him so i just dont see why FLA brings him in. Its not like hes the "final piece" for FLA to make a Stanley Cup run
