Description
Grabner fits in with Sullivan's 'jump on loose puck' style, like he did in New York. Plekanec shores up the centre depth, and the pens have normally had success with skilled players who haven't quite broken out yet.

In what way? Asking prices will likely be this high. Montréal is taking on two bad contracts, plus they're giving up a legitimate bottom six centre, that is worth quite a bit. With Grabner you could argue he's not worth sheary and the first, but he does score a lot at even strength so...

A 2nd or 3rd alone would land you plekanic with 50% retention. That's simply too much to give up for grabner. If you didn't overpay for grabner and plekanic, there also wouldn't be a need to add leivo who the leafs probably wouldn't trade to the penguins.

Yes, however the pens are unloading hunwick and hagelin in this deal; so that's worth sprong alone.

The penguins are not looking to unload hagelin. Hunwick is worth a 3rd by himself too.
