to much want nothing to do with Karlsson going to cost 12M+ for 7 or 8 years to resign him. No Thanks

I really, really think Karlsson is garbage relative to what he was 2 seasons ago now (read a normal dman compared to one of the best in the league) and is riding on his past reputation with the fans.

He would be a horrible addition to the Leafs for that kind of price. Pass!

This is fair, but the Leafs would need an agreement that Karlsson will sign.

I can see why you are named AN13879765 as you probably do not want anyone to remember this post.

This trade proposal is absolutely crazy for the Leafs.There is no chance that Lou would ever agree to even trade Marner straight up for Karlsson. Marner is an elite skater, passer and franchise player while Karlsson's best days are behind him and appears to have slowed down and is routinely being burned on 1 on 1 battles. Karlson is also looking to be paid for the maximum deal and term possible and thus Lou is going to pass because his contract demands would damage the entire team budget. Can you please google Mitch Marner awards won in his final year of junior hockey and tell me if Karlsson or any other player has won this many awards in one season whether in the NHL, junior or European league.

Now if you have not noticed, Dermott is a game changer for the Leafs and is actually their second best defenceman right now. His ceiling is a top 1 defenceman in the NHL and is a guy who helps his team win game in game out. You should check out the Leafs record while he is in the line-up.

Also, why would the Leafs also give up a 1rst round pick and 2nd round pick in a deep draft with Mark Hunter at the cotrols of the draft where he will probably find another top prospect for the Leafs?

Clearly you don't even watch him or the sens because last year was by far his best season ever. And he's starting to regain his form as of late. But he'll never be a leaf, no point making proposals.

No team would pay that much for a rental, especially a player who has struggled so much this year. Leafs aren't going to strip their club for a rental. He will stay a Sen till April 2019 and then leave as UFA if Sens demand such as silly payment, from the Leafs are any other team.

Lots of trollers on this site regarding Karlsson. It's like they no nothing of the cap, or team building. If the Leafs are interested in signing Karlsson in 2019, they can wait, and not trade anything for him.
