Description
After both these trades, Predators would be the favorite team to reach SC Finals in Western Conference again, in my opinion.

Järnkrok has 14 goals and 28 points playing just as a bottom 6 C. He shows a very good upside and has a great contract (5y/2M). He can be the Habs 2nd line C.

Edjsell is a very good prospect and shows a great upside either. Plus a 1st. And I could add Åberg or a conditional 2019 2nd, if Predators reach the Finals again.That's the best I can do. More than that is too much for Patch, in my opinion.

PS: I'm not even a Predators fan.

Not enough for Letestu; he's worth at least a third, not a 4th and an AHL throwaway.

I understand your point here but what we need isn't another 2-3rd line center, it is a center prospect that could become a first line C or a top left handed prospect D

I don't think Letestu still worths a 3rd. His hockey level drops together with all his team but McDavid. His good number are from the first half of the season. So, I still think that's enough to get him.

If I were Bergevin, I'd agree with you and ask for more. But here I'm trying to do the best from Predators perspective. If Habs denied my last offer, then I'd quit Patch and I'd go for Kane.

There are like 4 rental centers available. Not asking for a huge return, but guys like Plekanec and Letestu are at least worth a 3rd. TDL is expensive; that's their value.

You have to factor in that the Oilers want to get younger, don’t want another Left handed Center and trade values fluctuate during trade deadline to maybe an all time high for rentals, especially near the 11th hour. I think he can definitely get a late 3rd, maybe even a low end young AHL player or low pick with the interest he’s garnering. Also Maroon can nab a 2nd round Chia’s Trying to push for a top prospect or A 1st right now but I think no one will want to give a 1st.
