Reinhart won't make that much, and O'Reilly will be 2C so no need for Bozak. Colorado would probably ask for a defenseman in return for Barrie as well.

Good on Nail if he can land a $2.7m deal somewhere. I think he's still gotta string a couple solid seasons together to just stick in the show.

Okay... But then who do you play 1LW? I think this year it's going to be cheaper to sign Bozak than any first line winger. Might as well put ROR there and give Nylander sheltered minutes.

That's fair. For two years I think it's a decently cheap risk. Fill a roster spot, maybe he figures it out. At the end of that contract if it's no good then whatever no harm no foul.

O'Reilly isn't fast enough to play at 1LW, especially on Eichel's line. I think it's going to be a battle between our prospects/AHL guys to see who gets that spot, so probably one of CJ Smith, O'Regan or Mittelstadt if he signs this year. I don't think our GM likes the idea of getting another big contract when we already have so many (ROR, Okposo, Bogosian, Moulson)

Ooooo you're right I forgot all about Mittelstadt, yeah that's fair. Gunna be a young team. I think they really need a bonafide puck mover on the back end... Then again, so does basically every team not in the playoffs.

Yup, definitely agree with that. Brendan Guhle should also be up full-time next year. He's playing really well as a rookie defenseman for Rochester- great skater and passer. Would really love to get Barrie too though.
