I heard Borgstrom + Trocheck + 1st.... which is why it didn't happen... remove Trocheck and add picks, and Panthers might if they feel they can sign Pacioretty long term.

Yeah like he asked for Tiffoli in LA. That doesn't make sense at all since we were out of the playoff run and they were in it so they needed their roster.

To me, if FLA offers Trochek for Patch, I take it and run... but the idea is to have Patch to play WITH Trochek in FLa.

He was fishing. He knew that he would have more possibilities this summer so no real interests of selling his top scorer at the TDL on a bad year. It might not be better this summer since he's out with a knee injury now but, will see.

I think it all depends on MB and next season. Sell Patch at the draft and be prepared to get less than expected. I think our best option is to keep him and play him next year in key situations to score so that he has the stats to back it up.

Max is something like top 5 in goal scoring the past 6 years and 1 bad season pretty much killed his value..... People look at it like "what have you done for me lately" mentality which means, you only move players when they are playing well. Never when they're down. With a solid start to his season next year, after 20 or so games and if he has like 10 or so goals, teams would be more willing to trade for him.

Trading anyone on the Habs this year is pointless. Every single player is having a bad year. Except for maybe Gallagher.

Even is Patch went on to score 100 goals per seasons in Flaaaarida. I'd take any NHL prospect ready who is a potential 1C, even more if they attach a 1st to it.

FLA isnt gonna give up Borgstrom, Tippet or Mascherin and Tallon doesnt want to give up the 2018 1st round pick. Pacioretty isnt gonna play in FLA
