You are right!
I forgot to send Thomas Greiss to Montreal.

Wow. I can't believe that anyone would take Price's or Weber's contract on waivers, let alone give up 3 first round picks between the 2 trades.

Yea, I can't believe it either. The Isles could keep Bellows, and the two top picks, keep Griess, and spend 5.5 on goalie, and NOT acquire Price.

Yes the goalie who was just voted by other NHL players as the best goalie in the world has absolutely no trade value....... Same goes for the guy who got voted the third hardest defenceman in the league to play against, no team would want him either..... I understand the difficulties with the contracts but your either stupid or ignorant to think they don’t both hold elite trade value
CaptainFlynnt and ricochetii liked this.

Weber is more tradeable than price.. especially in this deal when the habs take back MacDonald and lehtera and retain salary! Philly would take this in a heartbeat, I don't like it all as a habs fan.

Weber will be good for many years if they can get him a decent partner. Imagine Weber in Philly with Ghost or Provorov.

I give you credit, at least for at least taking significant cap back in the Philly deal. So many awful Weber trades do not ever considerate any team cap. But in the Isles deal, you've increased the cap hit of Isles of 5.7m in the goalies position and the Isles in effect lose three first rounders.. Wonder how the cap works for the Isles. Before this season, Price has played 10 seasons for the Canadian and won 3 playoff rounds. So to think Price is going to lead the Isles to mediocrity , especially at this stage of his career, is really a stretch. Even with Price, the Canadians have been just a middling team And if he so much of a difference maker, why don't the Habs keep him?

Weber is getting wasted in Montreal. He needs to be traded for a necessary rebuild.
The Habs can trade MacDonald anytime in the next 3 years and Lehtera at the deadline for picks.
Unfortunately Montreal wont get the same value for Weber than when he was traded for Subban. Bergevin fucked this one up.

That's ridiculous. Even if they were to rebuild the young guys still need someone to look up to. Weber should be captain if pacioretty gets traded. And if the habs wanted to trade Weber they would get a lot more for him than what you are asking for.. I hope, otherwise why trade him?
