laugh laugh You deal by far your best forward in Max Pacioretty and your elite Goaltender in Carey Price, And you honestly think that John Tavares would sign in Montreal after dealing those two. No way Jose. Carlson probably gets around $8 million or $9 million per between Hedman and Subban money. What's with the Mark Stone and William Kalsson signing they're RFAs unless you trade for their rights or make an Offer Sheet which you can only offer 7 years one. There's no way you can get those guys and Vegas and Ottawa would match their respective players Offer Sheets any ways.

Montreal cant offer sheet Stone AND Karlsson - that's not the way it works...

None of this happens

Patches and Price for Hart & first?

C'mon now.... Sorry there is no market for a goalie that makes 10 million..... Not to mention Hart is a stud that has the potential to be just as good as Price while being cost controlled hence making a fraction of Price..

And why would Tavares sign in Montreal?

If I'm Tavares I would want to sign with a team that can contend now, has a bright future and can pay me my market value without having to dump players (hence becoming worse) to afford me.... Besides, what does that say about Montreal as an organization that they're willing to dump their franchise goalie and a few mainstays just to fit me in? that wouldn't bode will for me in the future. What, would they dump me in a few years when I'm 31 if the right FA were available? lol
