If you are going to trade Neuvy to BUF, you might as well get Lehner in return.

Why? We have Elliott signed for year and have Stolarz, Lyon, Mrazek, Hart, and Sandstrom under contract / team control for next season. Why do we need to put a package together to get something we don't need. We've basically made the playoffs with what we have.

Because Elliott is old and hasn't played more than 50 games since the 2010/11 season. If we don't sign Mrazek we get our 3rd back from DET (worth more than Mrazek), Lyon is an AHL goalie, Stolarz hasn't played meaningful hockey in a year and has only played 7 NHL games in his career. Hart will likely be in the AHL with Lyon or Stolarz next year as I can see us trading one of them or letting one walk. Sandstrom will likely stay in the SHL. That is why you get a goalie who is disgruntled with his current team and has shown flashes of being pretty good and can be signed for between 3-4 mil likely.

All good points, I just don't think Lehner is very good.
