That 13th pick was worthless in this COVID draft. Buffalo drafted a guy ranked 125 or something bc every teams scouts were guessing.
Patrick wasn’t going to work here.
Myers was the cost of doing business to get Ellis
The flyers sucked last year bc they had TOO MANY young players and this make over only cost them one good one: Myers.

Lost Patrick and Myers in a trade we won.
Lost 1st round pick in a bad draft that was totally unpredictable.
Still have:
Provorov
Sanheim
Hart
Konecny
Frost
Farabee
York
Foerster
Brink
Ustimenko
Ersson
Think our future is ok.

I think this deal depends on Landeskog signing elsewhere. Jake would be a consolation prize. But I agree it's probably not likely!!!

Only Jake would count against their cap. The other 2 are AHL players right now.

I hate that the Flyers are going to lose Ghost and unless it's in some massive package deal like this one, they'll lose him for close to nothing. He's an excellent player and would be a great fit in Edmonton.

yea, I tend to agree with you. I was just trying to think of one "shocking" thing AV could do with the lines that we wouldn't expect. I love Jake and Lindblom together. Also think Patrick and Lindblom are a good pair and that trio just makes a to of sense to me. Except, of course, that they'd be the third line. Jake would score 30 goals with third line 5v5 match ups and PP1 usage. Think Lindblom would have 20+.

Simmonds is on an expiring deal, so it's a win-win to me. If Ottawa were smart they'd rebuild and target guys younger than Hoffman and Simmonds but they're not. As for Gudas, MTL has three 4th round picks. That's probably be more realistic, but I'm a Flyers fan obviously. Gudas isn't as bad as his reputation. He had a bad year this year, but he was really impressive last season. He has the ability to be a legit 2nd pair D.

If we don't sign Mrazek we get our 3rd back from DET (worth more than Mrazek), Lyon is an AHL goalie, Stolarz hasn't played meaningful hockey in a year and has only played 7 NHL games in his career. Hart will likely be in the AHL with Lyon or Stolarz next year as I can see us trading one of them or letting one walk. Sandstrom will likely stay in the SHL. That is why you get a goalie who is disgruntled with his current team and has shown flashes of being pretty good and can be signed for between 3-4 mil likely.</div></div>
All good points, I just don't think Lehner is very good.

Yea, the Laughton contract is high but Simmer will get paid in his first true run at free agency. Think you have it backwards and Simmer is the more likely guy to move on.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>phillyjabroni</b></div><div>*shakes head*
Stolarz and Laughton have played a combined 6 Games thus far this season making their contract length and AAV higher (it should be under 1mil and for 2 years max). Mason's cap it is too high for a goaltender who is inconsistent. Lindblom is not NHL ready yet despite what he has done in the SHL. Dallas is trying to get rid of a tender since they have Kari and Neimi so why would they take another one?</div></div>
Those trades are fairly arbitrary. Dallas would be taking Neuv. to replace the goalie(s) they move. Lindblom is here next year.

He's probably played himself into a contract closer to 3.5 at this point, I agree. Still think he'd get closer to 4. Good point about how few games he plays annually.

I was super high on MDZ after some great pre-season games. That was, well, stupid. I still think he needs to be brought back and hopefully well below this number and getting 2/3 pair mins.

Hey - Just did the 1 year deals bc this roster is for 2017-18 purposes only. Didn't even account for anyone but a buddy of mine seeing this haha Thanks for the opinions, guys!!!
