I don't see why Vancouver would trade for Price when they are in obvious "rebuild" territory. Nor would most Montreal fans be ok with a Steel, late 2nd, 3rd, 5th for Pacioretty.

I'll disagree. It's an overpayment for Patches. First how does really benefit the Ducks?

Well, I guess MB makes the trade thinking he can spend that Price money better on other players. Don't know many fans think MB has that ability though.

MB has made some mistakes. but in no way is the weber trade bad or the drouin trade. ppl see the media, the record and all of a sudden start throwing fire. esp in a market like mtl. price and weber are 2 of the most respected players in the league. u see there's a fans prespective on everything, then theres a players prespective. the alzner signing is bad. i agree. and the philosophy of defensive defensemen in today's nhl heading into this season was also terrible for the habs. this team literally needs to start playing mete, juulsen more, and get rid of alzner, schlemko and benn. they have excellent wingers, but they need a center. ideally u want 2 centers, but even if u land 1 top 6 center, that makes hell of a difference. trading price is a horrible idea. u dont just trade away ur franchise player in todays cap era. even lundqvist is sticking with the rangers during their retool.
