Initial Creation Date: Apr. 6, 2018
Published: Apr. 6, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Jason Chimera is signed to a 1-year contract, since the caps lost so many Pkers. Veteran presence who is a well-known capital would be good for 50ish games as a 4th liner/PKer.
Copley and Samsonov can compete for backup role. Whichever goalie plays better in training camp and pre-season.

Rasmus Sandin
Dominik Bokk

l like that you've kept Carlson, although I doubt he signs at that term without testing the market, so you get yourself into a bidding war, and probably lose him.

I like that you traded Grubauer for a 1st pick, but did it have to be 31st overall?

Connolly would be tied for 6th in goals on San Jose, with 15, or he'd be 4th on Buffalo, with 15, or tied for 3rd on Arizona.

On Montreal he'd be 5th, but 3rd in even strength goals, with 11. He'd be tied for fourth in even strength goals on Vancouver.

Of course, that's all in 12 minutes a nght, mostly lining up with Lars Eller or Jay Beagle at center. Imagine what he could do with a Casey Mittelstadt, Max Domi, Alex Galchenyuk, or.... whoever ends up centering Vancouver's 2nd line next year.

Last year Connolly had 14 goals at even strength, which would be even higher on most of those teams. Yeah, the Caps could get a 4th for him. And a 2nd. And a prospect. He's 25, has every claim to be a top six winger, is signed cheap this year, and just needs an opportunity.

Well in an ideal world that pick is in the 20s.

As for Connolly I just do not think we can get much more than a 3rd. I just don't think he has the speed or skill to be a top 6 winger, although he does have the finish. Especially with Vrana and Gersich next year, Connolly will be pushed down the depth chart towards the 4th line where he will not excel, as he's obviously more of an offensive player. Better to get value for him.

I think its a good deal on carlsson he could maybe get a little more on the market but it seems is good where he is and wants to stay it would make sence for both parties, dont mind the other signings exept tom willson why would he sign for that long on a bridge price ? What do you think of 3y 3.75m or 5y 4m ? Its are to evaluate is game in $ amount
