Being a Cap Team, Sens cannot afford to spend +10 Million one player unfortunately! I also did the simulator for the 2018 first round picks.

That three way trade... what exactly Habs are gaining in it? 2018 2nd round pick for retaining over 2 million bucks per season for several years?

Yeah, a high second round pick! Keep in mind that they were supposedly willing to do it at the trade deadline.

But your right, depending on the directions the Habs decide to go (Rebuild or not), they might not want to do that anymore. However a Basement Cap Team, like ARZ, would jump on that opportunity.

No, it would be 25% of $7.25M which would be roughly $1.8M for a 2nd.

The Oilers traded Hall for Larsson straight up? So no, I don't think it's " laugh bad" adding a 55+ point sniper on a good contract to play with McJesus while getting a 1st and the Sens top Centre Prospect in the process. Anyways, It does say they go for RNH if Draisaitl doesn't work out in the details.
